Over the past 14 years, I have been making and selling underwater hockey sticks, made out of urethane, called Wonderstiks.
What started as a science project and experiment to see if there might be a better material for an underwater hockey stick instead of wood, has resulted in a demand for these sticks around the world. I originally only wanted to make a few sticks for my own use, but it seems that others have caught on to this technological advancement and have tossed their wooden sticks in the trash.
These sticks meet CMAS rules in that they are made of a one-piece homogenous material that floats level in water. The color of the stick is integral with the material, so you never need to paint your Wstik. In addition, since they are made of urethane, they don't soak up water nor splinter like wood. Also consider that as wooden sticks soak up water and wear, the "feel" of the stick during use changes, but Wonderstiks don't have these problems, and long after the last wooden stick breaks or wears away; you will still be using your Wonderstik.
The Wonderstik is also very economical, since a pair of purchased wooden sticks might cost a player, $2 to $30, and then figure that wooden sticks last about 6 months, if you're lucky, not to mention having to re-paint them about every 2 months. Essentially, the cost of using wooden sticks is about $60 a year, but for the same price, you can now get a pair of Wonderstiks which comes with a 5-year warranty. With this warranty, if you should happen to break your Wonderstik, or have any kind of problem with it, you will get a free (less shipping costs) repair or replacement. In addition, for a nominal fee, any Wstik can be "re-built" back to original dimensions if you wear your Wstik down, due to the rough bottom pool you happen to play in.
Anyway, just scroll down and click on the hyperlink name of the Wonderstik of your choice to see a picture and a description of it. These designs came from users around the US, as well as the world, and I have listed them with a unique number along with a name to identify them.
